Yes Wealthy Affiliate is available in the US and the guys who started the business are both based there.
The way we recommend beginners deal with the information in W.A. is to do every course, in the order suggested and practice what you have learnt at each stage.
This way you will become proficient and also be in a stronger position to chose what you really want to do.
We often find we go back and re-visit courses. The courses are up-dated and things change, so you will always be getting very up-to-date training, relevant to the way things are on the internet.

Interesting article about how to make money online from home. This can be from the UK or indeed from any place with good internet. The opportunities on the internet are unbelievable, however, you need to avoid the numerous scam out there.
Affiliate marketing is one of those option and if you can find a scam free and reasonably priced supporting program, then you can be successful. Wealthy Affiliate possibly is the best such program around and anybody has the opportunity to join them.

I have been a member of Wealthy affiliate for a few years now and I can stipulate: There are no scams and no hidden upsells. Perhaps because it is so open and visible. There are no hidden or secret bits you must pay to unlock.
I think the hardest part of working through the courses and doing the work is that there is a lot to learn, especially for a beginner. It is just a matter of time, though. Once you have written a few blogs, updated your website with new content a few times, it becomes second nature. It is just like learning anything new.

I have seen many of the same courses and workshops offered elsewhere, as separate modules and with price tags to make your eyeballs water.
There is rarely any follow up or support when you take an independent course. In W.A. there is always follow up and plenty of unending support.
Developing websites and all the technical challenges it offers, can be quite daunting. Wealthy Affiliate Technical Support is simply brilliant. They can often solve issues in hours.
